I noticed my last journal is from February, so i thought I'd put something else up... XD

Well, for once, I have all my schoolwork done and tell the three people that watch me what's going on in my life...

Well, I'm beginning to understand that schoolwork is a necessary evil, and that I can deal with it, especially because there is a rediculously bright light at the end of the tunnel. I've also realized that having something to take my mind off of school for a while is really nice. I'm working two jobs, for around 20 hours a week total, really giving my mind a break. And the $250 every two weeks ain't bad...

I've been trying to go through the 70-something deviations I've amassed from my watched people, and right now I'm down to 44. I'll keep working at it. I really appreciate all the art you guys put out - most of it is just plain unbelievable. I can't understand how to do most of it, and that makes it even better. If i knew how, it would degrade the piece, because I could just say, "Well, all they did was to blahbetyblahbetyblah."

I've just found a new desktop background and skin... 3Kore by DigitalPhenom and pico black RC 02 by nextmario. It may not seem like big news to anyone else, but I really appreciate a new piece of art to look at every once in a while. It's calming.

My 1994 Volvo 850 is at the beginning of the end of it's life. At 230,000 miles (we think - the odometer broke at 153,xxx), it's going early for a pre-acquisition Volvo, but I drive it like it's a sports car, you know, how it's meant to be driven. It's an auto, but I think the clutch is 98% gone, and my turbo might be dying (NOOOOOOO!!!!). The clutch is always engaged... It gets annoying when every shift is a huge jerk.

I've got my next car all picked out - a 1995 Honda del Sol VTEC. I've always liked the style and practicality of these guys, plus it'll cost me less than $5000 and then no more than another $8000 to totally pimp it out - new paint, body kit, CF everything, turbo, the whole deal. I should be able to take any self respecting S2000, the del Sol's older brother...

I've got $1250 saved, so I should be able to pay cash for one by the end of the summer.

Hmm... Why is it that the only time I'm on dA making journals is when I'm supposed to be doing a large school project. I have two big things due on friday.

RWS 200: 7 page essay on Walker Percy's essay The Loss of the Creature. I actually suggest everyone read the essay. It was entertaining, and presented an interesting way to look at things, as well as a way to write that isn't very structured. I really enjoyed it. However. That first reading was two weeks ago, and since then, we've talked about it for 3 days a week. Agh. 7 pages is like beating a dead horse, and then torturing it.

COMM 103: 2 page review of a 10 page scholarly journal. Not too bad, but I already did so once, only to find that my library doesn't have the article I reviewed. One of the requirements is to photocopy the actual article. You're not supposed to be able to do it online, because they want you to be able to use the library. Bagh! Who does that, when even more goodies are online, and even easier to get to. Jeez!

Anyway. For all interested, personal news is as follows:

I have broken my front right Carbon pushrod on my revo - 40 bucks for replacement and spares. I decided I'll wait to order it, because I'm out of money and still owe my dad the other $800 for this semester at college. Oh well. I got a job at the hobby store. I work tues. mornings (10-3) Whoever made that schedule likes sleeping in... lol. The college workload is starting to get back to me again. I thought I was ready, but I find myself easily distracted. Noone has any add pills for me to borrow, do they? Oh well. I'm gonna go grab some eats, write two pages for RWS, and go pick up Brian's christmas present - his HPI Micro RS4 finally came in - total order time 1 month, 10 days. ROFL.

     Alright all, I uploaded my first two true deviations today. Yay me! *Pats myself on back* Everyone needs to go check it out. Right now.
     I haven't forgotten about my promise to share my recollections about my trip to Catalina. I've got about a page written and I'm about halfway done. Sorry I'm taking so long. In the recount I'm including a lot of background stuff about my family, so that's taking up a lot of time and space.

I'm off on a four-day excursion to Santa Catalina Island with my family. We're gonna sail out there from Long Beach, CA in a 29' yacht we rented. Our neighbors and good friends one-upped us with a 39' yacht and are also coming. I'm not sure what exactly we're gonna be doing while we're over there. I think my family is just gonna "wing it."
